Can You Take 1 Oxycodone 7 5 325 Every 2 Hours

I shattered my ankle and broke and shattered my tibia. I had surgery about 3 weeks ago. Sometimes during the day my pain is worse and the pain starts to rage about an hour and a half to 2 hours later. In those instances would it be safe to take one more Percocet? It is not all the time. My doctor did say I could take 2 tablets every 4 hours but I don't feel like I need that much and I'm a little scared to take 2 at one time.

You can take it that way, as long as your doctor approves. However, you may want to try taking two at once, since it won't be much different from taking another a couple hours later, but it may prevent that severe pain from setting in.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

With your doctor's approval, you can also cut these tablets and try taking one a half, or a half one when the pain gets bad after a few hours.
