Can My Current Meds Give A False Positive For Methadone
UpdatedI was given a ua test today (January 28-2015) at my new pain management clinic and it tested positive for methadone. I have never even seen that drug let alone taken it. I am taking Cymbalta, trazadone, adderall, and have taken benadryl the last few nights. I also take 800mg ibuprofen about 2-3xs a day and 650 tylenol 2-3xs a day. Can any of those combinations cause that false positive for methadone? I'm just totally dumbfounded about this because I have never ever touched, seen or taken that stuff? I was not even sure what it is used for until the doctor told me!!! Please help me figure this out! They are sending it to the lab for further testing but I am hoping to have some sort of answers as to how it happened in the first place. Thank you anyone who can help me.
