Can I Use Ultram To Get Off Vicdon

Want to stop taking vicodone 10/325 been taking them for 6 started off taking only 3 a day now take 8 a day can i use ultram to help with withdrawls wich i am so scared of and i dont know how long i will go thru withdrawls wishinh i had never did this as 10 years ago i had a bad problem with I'm in our stake in like 20 a day for two years in the withdrawals are so horrible now I see myself after but not as bad and I want to stop before I get worse

Krstal. Your doctor needs to give you a step down dosage schedule or its going to be he'll on earth....

Can you trust someone with them to hold and give you one days worth at a time?

If they aren't in your control or house your weaning off will be successfu.

Also, ask the doctor for gabapentin to ease jumpy nerve pain. And something for vomiting just in case.

If you're puking, it's too fast. Drink tons of water and self soothe with Popsicles or frozen yogurt.

The Tramadol in the Ultram can also be habit forming, so you'd really just be trading one for the other. It is actually derived from an opioid, though it is much milder in action.

A slow taper to just totally get off of them would likely be better. What has your doctor advised?

But slow tapers can help minimize withdrawals, so they aren't so severely miserable.
