I had shoulder surgery and after 3 1/2 weeks I'm still having horrible pain. Dr prescribed diclofenac sod 75 mg twice a day. He had previously given me a prescription for hydrocodone/APAP 5-500 mg which I haven't been taking. However, my pain has gotten unbearable. Can I take both of them together?

Hello,

Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between Hydrocodone APAP (Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen) and Diclofenac sodium. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate.

It may be wise to speak with your doctor before combining these medications, just to be safe. Also, please be careful with the Hydrocodone APAP, Hydrocodone can be quite addictive.

Are there any more questions?
