Can I Cut My Suboxone Film

I'm new to suboxone. I was taking about 140mg of hydrocodone for a very long time. Dr prescribed suboxone film 8/2mg twice a day. Has anyone cut the film into smaller doses? For example dose yourself every 4 or 6 hours with a cut piece of film. I have an odd job where I work 12 hour days, i'm concerned of feeling "loopy" at work. This is a very private and personal journey and wish to keep my work out of it. I would appreciate any suggestions. I just started today( on my day off, have the next 2.5 days off) w/ 8mg/2mg. First dose. So i'm curious once these start building up in my system how am I going to feel.

Yes, some people do that with the Suboxone film, it's fine to do, as long as your doctor approves.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Thank you for your reply. I'm on my second dose of suboxone 8/2mg film. It's been about 6 hours since I took the second dose and I am tired. Other than that I feel pretty good, oh and dry mouth. I'm concerned of the drowsiness for when I go back to work. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. Has anyone just started with the one film everyday, because I was feeling pretty good before I took the second one. I'm worried with the third dose and the long half life of the drug how I'm going to respond (act). I only have 1 more day before I go back to work.
