Can I Alternate Tylenol 3 With Codeine And Norco?

Just need to know if I can alternate between norco and Tylenol 3 with codeine? I cannot get any more detailed than that

That can be done, as long as your doctor has prescribed them both for you and approves. Note the word ALTERNATE. They should not be taken at the same time.

The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Are you on any other medications?

Not recommended, especially not at the same time. Norco contains one opioid ingredient (Hydrocodone), whereas Tylenol # 4 contains Codeine, which is another opioid ingredient. Also, they both contain Acetaminophen, which can cause liver damage if too much is taken. Norco and Codeine could cause major interactions as a result. They are both CNS depressants which could result in respiratory distress, or even worse, coma.
