C Triest /progesterone Side Effects

I have noticed hair loss when shampooing hair. I was taking a pill c-triest.progesterone 2mg/100mg. Took for 6 months and got off of it for 3 months, Started taking again in January. Could any of this cause hair loss?

Yes, the estrogens can cause hair loss, especially if they are the dominant hormone. That's actually why many women in perimenopause and menopause experience hair loss, when you don't ovulate each month, or stop ovulating, you don't produce as much progesterone, but you are always inundated with estrogens.

You may want to speak to your doctor about making some dosage adjustments, such as raising the progesterone and/or lowering the estrogens.
