Subutex 460 Vs 54 411 (Page 5)

Updated

Does the Buprenorphine 8mg 460 work as well as 54 411's? I'm curious as I've seen other imprints, just not 460. Please let me know if they are better or worse.

Re: Kc (# 74) Expand Referenced Message

I asked my pharmacy if they could order the 54s or the Ms and she said you will get whatever brand they send. How rude was that??? And that was CVS Chillicothe Ohio

Re: Roxanne56 (# 75) Expand Referenced Message

You really took all the words out of my mouth. I too lived in Ft.Walton. I've been on Roxane brand I think like 13/14 yrs. Always my happy pill & saved my life. Now I finally got this cool pharmacist at Kroger to order mylan. It is white but not nearly effective. Yes I crave. I'm taking benzos more. That's the only way to get mylan is chain they don't care about the loss??I tracked Wentworth at first and ended up filing a complaint with the FDA.They are made in Anyway good luck to you. I even though I had written the post you did. So true. Take care ??

Re: Brad (# 80) Expand Referenced Message

I spoke with the Westward Pharmaceutical company yesterday. I was told that they have the exact same former Roxane as they were purchased from them. They are white with imprint 54/11. They are not on back order and have been supplying all the major chains. The former 460 from Sun pharma in India no longer manufactures them. This is the best news I've heard since all this began. I have been taking Mylan but it's inefficient. I have almost a month to go and I'm going to track them down. God bless.

Re: Dani (# 3) Expand Referenced Message

They do however special order the merger brand that was Roxanne and is now Roxanne westward (54 411) depending on if your CVS is an a**hole or not... I prefer 54s over any. They tried giving me 460s tonight after I specifically asked for my order to be placed sunday..someone dropped the ball. Anyways, 460 is probably the only ones I haven't tried. But why change brands when I know 54s work?

I've been on the 54 411 for 5 years never had an issue. CVS switched to the 460 since being on those I had horrid burning under my tongue, my leg started swelling and I was having low blood circulation in my left leg. The other night I took my dose like normal out of nowhere I started feeling weird, the feeling scared me so bad I made myself throw up since then I have been to afraid to take my dose which has resulted in withdrawal so I take a small dose to get rid of the withdrawal. I'm hoping to switch to a new pharmacy.

Hey buddy, you’re all over the place with your facts and would rather prove someone wrong it seems than stay on topic. The topic is two different kinds of subutex and the difference between the two. I can speak first hand and go ahead and let you know that even though they are supposed to be the same, I personally can speak on the fact that when I was switched at cvs from 54 411 to 460 I was completely disappointed in the 460. It seems to have about 4/5th the potency including the sickenly sweet taste. That’s what we’re talking about. That’s all my opinion.

I'm in the same area. In between cinci and Dayton. I own a pharmacy and carry the activas brand as it was the company that r&b hired to make the generic version when the original patent on subutex name brand was expired. Roxanne/ westward pharm. Maker of the 54 411 white tablets would be my back up supply if we were to run out of actavis, But I consider trying them.. Most customers agreed that they were more effective than the Roxanne (54 411) 8mg tablets

Re: Wendy (# 4) Expand Referenced Message

Same here. I am now on the 460 imprint brand. It wears off quickly and upsets my stomach as well. I informed my doctor and he gave me the name of another Pharmacy. Until I refill, I won't know what brand they carry.

I have been on buprenorphine, at 1st for MAT, then for pain management for 3 years. 8 mg per day was sufficient to control my pain and allowed me to stop all illicit drug use. When Publix switched to the 460 imprint, I was nauseated, felt withdrawal within 4 hours of a dose and ended up on 24 mg per day. I found a local pharmacy that carries the 54-411 and I am now comfortable with 8 mg again. Actually plan to taper to 4 mg. The difference between the two is like night and day. No withdrawals at all. No nausea. Relieves my pain. Nuff said.

Just doing some skimming and Scanning thru previous posts. I was brought to this page after attempting to do a little research on the Sun Pharma Subutex pills I was just prescribed. Haven't taken one yet but will do a follow up. I am in St. Pete and go to a local CVS pharmacy. They have always. And I mean ALWAYS. Without Fail. Had the 54 411s in stock. Until THIS evening. I cannot comment on the 460s yet. But wish me luck. It seems most of you have had terrible experiences. I am originally from Michigan and have been taking Subs for 9 years now. Pain management and Addiction treatment as well. Over the course of that time I've had just about every different manufacturer of subs there is come across the pharmacy counters. All work similarly. For me. Not speaking on the behalf of others. Yes. Some do seem to work better than others. But I have never had adverse side effects from Any of them. I can add that I too went a significant amount of time without insurance, spending upwards of $275/month staying "Clean". I've tried the RX Cards. Discounts mom and pop shops. Internet. All of it. RX savings cards seemed to help me out the best in terms of accessibility and price. Those of you looking for a discount may want to give that a try. Best of luck to Each and Every one of you doing the right thing. Keep your Heads up and Press on. Tomorrow is another day.

Right. Thanks for correcting my previous post. FYI... Roxanne has now been acquired by Westward (sp?).

I've been on buprenorphine for about 3 years. I'm not sure who the 1st manufacturer was, but when Subutex went generic, not too long ago, I was given a script for the 460 imprinted version. I had been well maintained for both MAT and pain management on 8 mg per day. The 460 Brand's efficacy wore off in 4-6 hours and I felt like I was in withdrawal. My doctor upped me to 16 mg and then again to 24 mg. When I finally googled information about my problem, I found out that generic manufacturers can change the ingredients, fillers and even reduce the amount of the buprenorphine itself by as much as 20%. This, combined with different fillers in some Brand's of generic Subutex was and is the problem. I have switched back to Roxanne's Brand's sublingual tablets that have the 54 11 marking. I am now comfortable with 8mg once again.

Re: Jeffrey (# 95) Expand Referenced Message

I believe the most amount of variance in regards to activ2 ingredients is no more than 6% not 20. I may. 3 incorrect. Bit I have read articles that pertain to this complaint/ rumor. I may have to do some more res3arch b4 fully stand behind my statement. I do not think such a significant reduction would b3 legally allowed.

Hey, I am from Ohio and go to pa, also. Are you from near the panhandle? I just know my pharm charges $15 to those without ins. and only charge ins. a small fee. My pharm just switched to 460 and my mouth, tongue and heartburn are horrible!
