Atorvastatin Recall

I recently received a bottle of Atorvastatin from my pharmacy and it wreaks of the smell of alcohol. I thought it might be the medicine bottle so I put them in a different bottle and they still smell awful. I can also taste the alcohol. I take other meds and I do not taste or smell that anywhere else. I brought it back to the pharmacy and the pharmacist said he couldn't smell anything. I have since had others smell the medicine and they also smell that strong odor of alcohol. Either the pharmacist was lying to me or he had no sense of smell. I would say at least 20 people here at my home have smelled my atorvastatin and they all say they smell alcohol like the kind used for cleansing the skin before a shot. This batch was from Sandoz. 80mg
Date filled 11/22/14 I cut them in half to save money and need to take only 40mg per day thus lasting me twice as long for the same price as the 40mg tablets. The smell was there before I cut any.

i have the same thing 80 MG tabs by Sandoz heavy alcohol smell I got a 90 day supply but i am not taking them any longer to see if it makes a Difference

Atorvastatin is listed by the FDA as being used to help lower cholesterol. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and joint/muscle aches.

I had 80mg Atorvastatin with a Fill Date of 4/13/15.I had that Strong Smell of Alcohol or some type of Thinner Type Smell. I used my 90 day Supply. When i opened my next 90 day bottle first thing that i noticed was the pills were a yellow color. They Did Not Smell!! I looked at the lable and it says "Yellow Oval Tablet" Both Bottles are the same! My Last Smelly ones were a White Oval even though the bottle said Yellow Oval? I saved the bottle to ask my Pharmacy? Bottle Still Smells Very Strong!
