I have some bad chest pains and it feels like my heart is beating too fast and fluttering. Its my second day on it and yesterday was the same all day long. Should I stop taking it? I'm 35 and my cholestetol was 3.8 with the last test, down from 6.5 from just eating more regularly and cutting out oily foods and eating less sugar.

Hi. My mom stopped taking Aspavor for some time and started taking it again about a month ago. Lately she has had terrible cramps at night in her thighs, which last for a long time. Could this be due to the Aspavor?

Since changing from 20mg aspavor to 40mg Aspavor I have felt tired when wlaking my normal early morning route along the beach front and when climbing stairs

Is this normal and if so how can I prevent this ?

Ek het die laaste paar maande baie pyn aan die kant van my knie en my pols en a.g.v, die pyn loop moeilik. Na ek 'n ent geloop het is die pyn beter maar is heeldag bewus van die seer in my knie en pols. Ek soek nou die oorsaak en gebruik nog Metforal, Ziabeta en Warfarin Volgens toetse is alle tellings normaal.

using aspivor for two years. noticed that i have a skin reaction but not sure if the medication is the cause. the allergy is rounded,inflamed and pink in pigmentation in specific areas.most common on buttocks,two arms and thigh area. has a slight itch which allows scaring after scratching. the next morning or few hours disappears and appears in another area. CRP levels were high before and now has stabilized and an allergy test was done to check for internal reaction which was negative.

After a quadrippel heartbypass op December 2007, I was tprescribed Aspavor 20mg by the doctor. My chemist recommended a cheaper one to supplement the one prescribed by the doctor which I have been using until two months ago when I decided to rrevert back to the prescribed Aspavor (Pharmacia; atorvastatien) 20mg. Since then I have developed a rash on both my forarms which I never had before. It is some form of reaction. allergy, which I never had before. Looking up the side effects of Aspavor I noticed one possible side effect is allergy. Could this be the cause of the itchy rash on my forarms?

I have been using Aspavor for many years and only of recent realised that I go very often at night to urinate, at least 4-6 times, could this be related to me taking Aspavor

I jive been on Aspovar for 2 months and for the past month I have been coughing. I am also on Primor for high blood pressure and Euthyrox. Can Aspovar cause a cough?

I have pain for more than 2 months - chest pain, abdominal pain, constipation, dairrhea, back pain, flu-like syndrome and found out the side effects just now. Please let me know what I must do now, must I stop using Aspavor 20 mg or still continue. I have chronic pain for 2 months and I am angry now!!!

I have been aspavor 20mg for about 3 years. I stop drinking it for 3 months to see if I cannot keep it low by eating right button it is high again and I have family history of high cholesterol. I am 50 years old and a female. So I was advised to drink the meds. I had no joint pains in the last 3 month but since I'm drinki g them again my joints are paining again.

Hi i am on so many chronic medication, could you please help me so that I may not mix them or take then the wrong times or get side effects please.

Methotrexate 1 ml once a week and one folic acid daily for rheumatoid arthritis.
1 tablet 2 times a day salazopyrin also for rheumatoid arthritis.
1 tablet once a day for hypertension Co -Ex-forge.
1 tablet 0.1 mg eltroxin for hypothyroid
1 tablet puricos for gout.
1 tablet Aspovor for cholesterol.
my weight is 135kg and i am years.
I know if I loose weight it will eliminate some of these ailments and tablets.
I love life and love to laugh but I am limiting my life with all this medication please help.
I take all medication throughout the day but aspavor at night, I dont sleep well at all.

NIH.gov lists the following side effects of Aspavor (Atorvastatin):

Coughing
Sore throat
Wheezing
Difficulty swallowing
Itching
Hoarseness

They also list dry mouth as a side effect of Aspirin (Ecotrin).

My guess is that the culprit may be one of these two meds, but perhaps it would be best to consult your doctor for further advice on alternative therapies that can replace these drugs.

My cholesterol level is 6.5. I am using Aspavor. I am also taking one Bayer aspirin cardio 100 per day. Is it safe to take them both at the same time?

Hi. I am suffering from continued back pain and a rash on my upper back that itches as well as numb feet. I am on aspavor 20mg. Can this be the cause? Please confirm. I will appreciate it. Many thanks. Right now I am dealing with an ongoing urine infection.

Hello there, I've been taking Aspavor 40 now since 2006 and my bad cholesterol did not drop down as low as it should be. My doctor now prescribed Aspavor 80. I already got terrible headaches from Aspavor 40. Will this increase the headaches? I do eat very healthy. What can I do?
