On our prescription label for sotalol hcl tabs, the sequence aptx2 appears in the bottom right hand corner. What does this sequence mean?

That stands for the manufacturer Apotex, just like Jim and Maggie have stated. It is most commonly used to treat sustained ventricular tachycardia, as well as other heart rhythm irregularities.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, fatigue, and chest pain. If any of them are severe, you should seek medical attention.

Jim is right. I just got on their website. I have just been changed to this generic and have a suspicion that it is what is causing my recent brain fog and fatigue. The website does not tell what country it is made in.The fact that Canada is where the company is does not mean that that is where it was made. I did not feel this way when taking the former generic I was on or when I was on Lipitor. Has anyone else had trouble with this drug?
