According to MedlinePlus, Anaerobyl is used to treat infections of the reproductive system, GI tract, skin, heart, bone, joint, lung, blood, nervous system, and other areas of the body.
It is also used to treat STDs and bacterial vaginosis.
This medication is in a class of drugs called nitroimidazole antimicrobials, which works by stopping the growth of bacteria.
However, only your doctor knows for sure why he decided to prescribe you an antibiotic in the first place. So you would essentially have to ask your doctor to find out more details about the alleged infection, where it's location was, how severe it is, and how it might've been affecting your period all this time.

i recently had a miscarriage, i was 10 weeks. the doctor gave me Anaerobyl 400mg (5 pills to drink after supper at once) that same day. problem is now im bleeding/spotting and my pee is darker than usual no smell though. is there something wrong with me? or did the procedure not go well?, because the doctor is registered so its not a backdoor thing.. im scared that damage might be done.
