Hi! I have had a yellowish discharge for 3 days now and its itching. I went to the dr n he gave me anaerobyl 200mg, even though he didn't tell me what could be the problem. Is it going to help me?

A yellowish discharge is usually indicative of bacterial vaginosis, which is a type of infection.

The medication you've been prescribed is an antibiotic that's used to treat them. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea and stomach pain.

Is there anything else I can help with?

But please, if you want to know more and get a definitive answer, feel free to contact the doctor and ask.

I'm not a physician, so I can only give you the general idea of what the symptoms usually show and what the medication is usually used to treat. :-)
