Amvasc Be\ Amlodipine

how true that amlodipine can help to cure hypertension? i'am a female 24 years old single with a family history of hypertension.. i'm already taking up a maintenance for my hypertension,,my BPis 140\110 above until 170/120. sometimes i have chestpain and backache. i believe my medicine can no longer hepl me maintain my BP. i read about this amlodipine but iw ant to try but i'm scared because its a doctrs prescribed to me. now can u please help mme about this matter?? where can i buy thisd medicine..
