I believe i may be coming down with strep throat. My kids are all finishing up their antibiotics for it now. I have an old antibiotic script for amox from 12/15.. Would it be safe for me to take now?

Hello, Cloe! How are you?

It shouldn't be expired yet, if it was just prescribed this past December, however, it would be best to see your doctor to be sure whether or not you actually have an infection.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Is there anything else I can help with?
