Amlodipine + Metformin + Tamsulosin = What Side Effects?
UpdatedI am hypertensive and diabetic and was prescribed to take amlodipine with metformin. But, since I also have chronic bilateral renal parenchymal disease with nephrolithiases and enlarged prostate, I had to take tamsulosin with acalka also. Doctors say that the first two conditions have to be gone before any progress in the other conditions can take effect. And, the kidney stones, too. ESWL is expensive and I could't work meantime except from home due to the outcrop of side effects -- ex., diarrhea alternating with constipation -- not to mention the attendant pain of having kidney stones inside me and the looming fever that neither burns too hot nor lets me off completely in some eternal purgatory of chilly heat. As to tamsulosin, I have nothing but thanks for being able to urinate naturally, without pain and completely draining my bladders after many years of having to live with the excruciating trip to the men's room, but the side effects are definitely too scary (ex., cataract to blindness, among others). How about the combined side effects of all these meds, Doc? I am by the way having hyperacidic tummy, dry eyes, and a mouth and tongue and gums that easily erupt with sores that take some time to heal. The soles of my feet hurt too when I walk. Could you give me any idea what I am heading for in this taking time going downhill now for me? On a different note, where could I find a tube over the counter of clotrimazole bethamethasone hydrochloride ointment for my skin condition that doesn't heal with any other preparation? Gratitudes.
