Pochi, yes, hormonal contraceptives such as these are also often given to help balance the hormones in a woman's body and regulate her menstrual cycle.

Nathskie, do you take any medications, or do you have any medical conditions that may be contributing to the problem?

Have you consulted a doctor to get a diagnosis?

Hello, I have an irregular period and i'm 22 years old. my doctor told me that I have hormonal imbalance and PCOS. They then told me to take Provera for me to have my period, i waited for a couple of days and then it came, When I went back to the doctor, she said I should take Althea on the first day of my next period and do it for 6 months. So I waited for my period to come but its been 2 months now and I haven't bled yet. If so, how can i start my Althea if my period hasn't paid a visit yet? Please help me.

Hello po.. I am wondering how could i get rid of this pcos? It has been so disturbing and it really sucks!!! I hate being a patient of this kind of syndrome!!! And i met a friend who has given me some advice & clarification from her ideas.. My question is, can daily intercourse really help a pcos victim to lessen the burdens of having no menstrual cycle or irregular menstrual cycle? Please help... What kind of contraceptive pills do i need to take? Thanks.
