Adderall Sublingual

Updated

Yes. You can. I have read multiple sources saying you can, the first time I heard of it (and it is acclaimed to be one of best roa's after putting up the booty), I tried it. I did feel a noticeable difference as I usually break my 2 30 ir down to 4 15 ir to take throughout day for duration. The one 15 I subligualed felt very much like an oral 30, was a bit more clear also. It didn't last any longer though unfortunately, because that is what I am searching for, a way to make the IR last longer. I'm sure doc will make decisions next time I see him, but I just got this script a week ago. Can't start complaining already.

Are you trying to say that you can safely take Adderall sublingually? While that may or may not be true, my understanding is that it's not necessarily the way it's intended to be taken by patients and therefore I'm not one to glorify or encourage any ulterior methods of administration. Surely, there are those patients who obtain their doctor's approval for minor variations in their dosing regiment but taking a pill in any which way other than how it's prescribed supersedes any ounce of legitimacy for patients who truly depend on Adderall for real reasons. I'm not saying you're abusing your medication, but what I am saying is that the undertone of your post seems recreational, to try and achieve a certain effect vs accepting the way it works when taken as prescribed.

Have you tried any other manufacturer's brands or generics that work well when taken properly (swallowed orally)? Perhaps an extended release version is better suited?

Best wishes to you and I hope you find a safe alternative that works!

I don't know where this post started but anything one can do to increase the effectiveness of generic Adderall so it will actually do the job it is supposed to do, -I would try it. Viewing the multiple forums on the web there are just too many complaints about the effectiveness and there seems no way to get answers. I for one will try it sublingually to see if better result I usually feel nothing for at least 1-2 hours in the morning after taking it, where it used to take 20 minutes. I have a hard time getting up in the morning even with 8 hours sleep. Adderall in it’s most efficient form never got me high; It just got me motivated and focused. It still helps to do this but not in a timely manner, which is of concern when I need to be at work at 9 am.

Same exact situation for me. Thanks for sharing, as I don't feel as alone. I've been taking my regular dose orally and putting half under my tongue in the am. (with my doctor's approval/support) and I've noticed a big difference with staying focused when getting ready and getting to work on time has been a little better. Only been a few days, so I'll stick with it and we'll see.

Also, taking the prescribed pill mid-day can sometimes keep me up when going to bed. So, I switched to a half mid-day sublingually and it does seem to wear off so that I am fine getting to sleep. So maybe, for me, sublingually doesn't last as long. This also has the doctor's approval as he wants me to be as successful and functional as possible. He's an awesome doctor and genuine person who cares and pays attention to everything I say and need.

I too have tried it sublingually and find it to be much more effective this way. This ROA bypasses first pass metabolism. This negates the potential acidity (high PH) of your stomach from causing the much of the amphetamine salts to pass almost unmetabolized in your urine.

For better absorption you can also take a tums (calcium bicarbonate) 10-20 minutes before swallowing your Adderall. Onset may still be delayed but more of the drug will get into your system and past the blood/brain barrier.

Two corrections. I meant the "low" PH of your stomach (acidic) and tums is calcium carbonate not bicarbonate. My mistake.
