Adderall And Pre-employment Drug Screen

I'm going to be taking a pre-employment drug screen at the end of August. I live in California and would like to know if telling the potential employer about this is a good idea. I've read so many different accounts of what to do that I'm confused and, frankly, worried. Is the drug testing lab required to tell me first about a positive result? Does the extra time it takes to re-test the sample send up a red flag to the potential employer?

I live in Alabama but I have a current job offer in the state of Mississippi depending on drug test results and physical. I have to take a drug test before I'm hired and I'm scared I want be hired because of my life long condition and I am embarrast to tell my potential employer scared they will not hire me. I am ADHD & take prescribed Adderrall XR 30 ml daily also prescribed 15 pills of Adderrall 30 ml per month taking 1/2 pill a day. Will I be denied the job since I take prescribed Adderrall. Will both prescriptions show up on drug test or just one, saying I have Adderrall in my system? Can the company Weyerhauser in Columbus Mississippi denie me the job because of this. Thanks for your help!

Adderall or any other prescription AMPHETAMINES will show up in a standard pre-employment drug test. If you are prescribed amphetamine by a physician then you do not need to notify your employer at all. You do however need to notify whoever is administering the test by bringing your prescription bottle with you. They will not notify your employer, that's a violation of HIPPA. The only time your legal prescription would be an issue with an employer would be if it would in some way create a liability issue if it would inhibit you physically and possibly cause injuries.

Hello, I don't want to sound like I'm asking the same questions that everyone here is asking, but per my predicament... 2 things. 1.) I hardly ever take adderall, I was actually prescribed to Benzos for 10 years for severe anxiety, so naturally I stayed away from any "uppers"... I have been taking the 20mg IR the past few days just to help me concentrate on a few assignments I have to do for this new job. My 3rd, and should be final, interview is Thursday at Noon. I've heard they drug test you either same day, or 1 to 2 days after the final interview... Am I screwed? Anything I can do? All I wanted to do was be as prepared as possible, and do these assignments as best as I could, didn't even think about the drug test until now.. Is there a way to postpone the drug test, or do you have to take it when they tell you..... 2.) I have been going to a suboxone clinic for over a year now, I hate to tell anyone, especially a potential employeer, that I am prescribed suboxone. But will that effect whether or not I get the position, or does that even show up on a pre-employment drug screen?... The job is for a logistics company and I would be doing sales and such, so it's not like I would be operating heavy machinery.... Also as a side note: I've tested the limits of the drug test I have to take every month for my suboxone... I've used marijuana 4 days before and passed, took opiates a day or two before and passed, and I've even taken a Benzo the night before, and morning of, and passed... Idk if I just have a higher than normal metabolism or what.... But any input would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks guys

This is too much. Read your queries. Will the adderall show up 1-2 days later...I take suboxone consistently...I pass drug tests smoking weed or doing opioids a few days before....

That's a lot you're doing to your body man. The addy's will probably be out since you describe a fast metabolism. Consider sticking with what your doctor prescribes you. Please.
