will zyrtec alter my pro-time? I take Coumadin because I have a St. Judes mechanical aortic valve. ## Over the course of several months my Pro-time INR readings have been satisfactory---requirng no change in Coumadin dosage. "Suddenly" the readings became erratic-- to the extent that instead of monthly pro- times--I've had to have the INR checked weekly. The only "new" drug I've been taking is Zyrtec. I asked my PCP if Zyrtec can influence the INR. She replied-- "It's possible." So I cut out the Zyrtec--even though it's been very helpful. After 2-3 weekly checks --sans Zyrtec----things are okay. I wonder if any of your respondents have had similar experience. Thank you ## Yes, it is possible for Zyrtec to cause that as a side effect, along with di...

Oblong white pill, what is it? ## PFIZER 551 is a 10 mg Zyrtec coated tablet manufactured by Pfizer. ## Just found 5 pills matching this description in my new bottle of Xyzal 24 hr. What's up with that? I phoned the 800 number on the bottle. A supervisor is to call me back. ## That's interesting Moof, please share what the supervisor says! What I also find interesting is that the person "Troy" who posted that it's a Zyrtec (Cetirizine) back in the day is referring to an OTC allergy medication. And you said you found the mystery tablet inside a bottle of Xyzal 24 hr which is also an allergy medication with a similar sounding ingredient (Levocetirizine). These OTC meds can change in appearance, so please let me know what they say. ## Please disregard my message earlier...

When I took Zyrtec I had severe side effects. I was like a zombie in a dream state most of the time. I had severe memory problems. There is several months and I don't remember things at all! The parts I remembered and found out about, and I did things totally against my character! Things that make me sick! I think Zyrtec can be a very dangerous drug! Please has anyone else had similar side effects? ## i take zyrtec everyday since i was in 8th grade and im a junior in highschool now and ive never had a bad side effect ## Yes! My ear-nose-throat doctor told me to try it. Drixoral works the best for allergies, but is almost impossible to get due to the manufacturer not producing it for some suspicious reason. My dr. said Drixoral crosses the blood-brain barrier and affects my brain che...

I have got hey fever and started these tablets today. how long will it take for them to work. ## I hope you look up Zyrtec withdrawal Quitting Zyrtec and itching before you decide to take this. ## Yes, it contains Cetirizine, and it is most commonly used to treat allergies. The NIH warns that it may cause, side effects, such as nausea, headache, dry mouth, and drowsiness. You should start to experience some relief within 15 to 20 minutes of taking it, but it may take about 4 to 6 weeks for it to reach its full level of efficacy in your body. Itchy Scratchy, I am sorry about the problem you had from stopping. It is usually best to taper off of most medications to prevent these rebound effects. Have you tried any other allergy medications? There are others you can try, if you aren't c...

I was tested by cps for drugs. I was told , yet shown no evidence that I tested positive for methamphetimine. I had a few needles laying out as I take diabetes insulin. Other than that I do not take anything but asperin. Then in conversation with the crisis line I found out nyquil, vicks inhaler, and eyedrops for algeries...which I didn't consider drugs and zyrtec..which I had taken weeks before could have caused the false positive. How do I get help with this? ## Hi sue, I have to agree that the number of medications or substances responsible for causing false-positives are quite staggering, considering that they have the technology to identify the exact substances in question, but prefer to use cheaper methods for standard drug tests. At this point in time, the best advice I can of...

Oblong pill white in color nothing on the other side 4112 ## Hello, Charlie! How are you? I've been unable to find a listing for this, so far and the nature of the imprint leads me to suspect that it may be an over the counter product. Where was it found? Some over the counter products are regional, so knowing the general location may help to narrow it down. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## I have the same thing. I'm trying to figure out I it's my hay-fever meds from Walgreens or some other drugstore. Can you take Zyrtec-D with Cheratussin AC syrup? I'm having coughing, allergies and congestion. ## They both treat the same conditions, so it is usually best to stick with one, or the other, rather than doubling up, unless your doctor has instructed otherwise. Taking both could result in some unforeseen issues, since the Zrytec D can act as a stimulant, due to the Pseudoephedrine in it, and the Cheratussin can act as a depressant due to the Codeine in it, according to the NIH. The Cheratussin also carries the risk of being habit forming. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I took ceterzine ( Zyrtec d) and it wasn't really helping so I took a little teaspoon of charatussin ac syrup will I be ok?

I purchased zyrtec d with decongestion to clear my nose but after taking it my ears have clogged up both ears. Did not have ear problem before. Any suggestions to fix this problem. Thank you for any help. ## Hello, Marcia! How are you? I'm thinking your clogged ears are most likely related to being sick to begin with and not the Zyrtec, but only your doctor can say for sure. Do you commonly have ear problems, such as infections? Are you on any other medications? Do you frequently get sinus infections or have colds?

Took Amox Clav for a mild ear infection. Had a 7 day dose. Tongue started hurting. Started to look white and hairy. I had no energy. My eyes starting burning. No major digestive problems. Feel better after stoping the medicine....just hope I didn't buildup a tolerance. Any responses? Thank you! ## Also received some sort of steroid shot. :/ ## Hello, Al! How are you feeling?
