Zydus 10mg Oxycodone Underdosed? (Page 2)

Hello all. For the last 6 months, i've been prescribed various meds/treatments/pain meds for severe head pressure and neck pain. I had to stop taking any form of Hydrocodone because it makes my skin breakout in open sores (gross, i know). On May 6th, my PCP prescribed me Oxycodone 10mg 4times daily with great results and it made me very fuctional. He gave me another script for the same medication and when i went to the pharmacy, they filled it and when i got home, i notices the tablets/drug company was different. Well, was i in for a suprise. The new generics my pharmacy had were made by Zydus Pharmaceuticals and are imported from India? Well, to say the least, i've been taking almost twice my dosage to get the same effect. There's no way on earth that my tolerance doubled in less than a day! Now, my PCP thinks i'm trying to get more pills, and the pharmacy thinks i'm crazy. The first prescrption i got the 10mg oxycodone from this manufacturer: KVK Tech Inc (pink and "k 56" imprint on them. And they worked fabulous. These Zydus ones seem wayyyy underdosed as i'm taking around 5-6 tabs compared to 4 tabs of the KVK Tech brand. Any info/advice is greatly appreciated!

I would love I see their clinical trials. FDA needs to stop this med from entering the US! I have been in Oxycodone for 6 months due to my back being mangled...I took one pill and noticed how much I started itching... Thought maybe something else, dry skin... Whatever.. Took my next dose... Noticed red welts ! Never again. Gotta see Dr tomorrow to see what she can do about exchanging these meds. I looked at all the crap they put in their meds... Unbelievable!

As with most regularly prescribed opiate medications, the initial "2 weeks in" window is prime time territory marking a general point at which the human body begins to require an increase in dosage in order to achieve consistent effects. It's not really the pharmacy's fault, it's the insurance companies and the government regulators that are screwing us. I just got another batch of Zydus oxycodone's and like last month these also suck! I take 40mg's of Oxymorphone that works great 90 percent of the time and I used to take an oxy 15 now and then for breakthrough pain and they worked great.Now my pharmacy gave me the Zydus 10.s and last month I had a really bad day and ended up eating 12 of the Zydus 10's within a hour and then googled the pill after 2 hours wondering if I was accidentally given childrens Tylenol or something. 120mgs of oxycodone and didn't even feel it? Something is not right here. I ask the Pharmacist about the same thing with the Adderall and he told me he never knows what brands he is going to get from month to month so for instance if he gets three bottles of say 1000 adderall's one brand may cost him 300.00 for a thousand another brand 400.00 for a thousand and the last bottle of really good but still generic may cost 900.00. Now pay attention because this is why we get crappy meds! He charges you your co-pay, say 5 bucks for 60 pills then sends Medicare-Cade Obamacaid a bill for the rest + a small profit but The Carekaides will only pay him 300.00 a bottle so he has to wheel and deal and hope he doesn't loose his ass so he can supply you with anything. This is why the Rite aids' and Wal-Marts' stopped carrying most meds they don't make a bunch of money on. At least I got a good batch of Adderall this month or I wouldn't be posting this :)

So my 10mg Oxycodone really has between 4 to 10 percent of oxycodone in each pill. So if it were on the high side (say 10 percent) then my 10mg oxycodone pill has 1 mg of oxycodone in it! Get this everyone, I've been on oxycodone for quite some time because I've had 3 hip sugeries in 2 years. I picked up my script but from Walmart this time and I took just 1 dose and and an hour later it wasn't doing anything and I then became supious, and I searched the difference between manufacturers and that's how I ended up here. I had been taking the ones made by KVD which I was getting at the Target pharmacy, now Walmart gave me the ones by Zydus. I don't know what I'm going to do for the next 2 weeks?? I will never get the Zydus again. I swear, Walmart could care less about the customer it's only what they can put in there pocket! Needless to say I'm pissed!

There is definitely something different about them. I have BARRETS cancer and have a 2 in. Nodule in my throat. I have to crush my meds so I can get them to go down. The usual ones are soft and crumble easy. I thought I was going to have to get my hammer out of my toolbox. These little guys are almost bulletproof. Thought I'd never get it. I will be asking for another brand next time.

Just received a prescription for the zydus oxycodone 10 mg have took 2 since 12 noon can't tell I've took one , my stoma still hurts had my cholen removed sep.21 don't think your wrong about the difference haven't took the kvk brand but these don't seem to be as effective as the 5 mg oxycodone my doctor was giving me

I was on those for a few months, when I moved to another state and got a new doctor he changed my dose to 15mg, I noticed immediately how weak the zydus were in comparison to the new generic. If you look up zydus on the consumer affairs site, there are complaints on every single drug they make. They might as well be counterfeit in my opinion, try another pharmacy and ask which generic they stock. Zydus is garbage and should be shut down.

I need a good pain doctor in Chicago area - please help!!

I was on thin ice with my doctor BEFORE I became a victim of this Zydus brand. For 5 years I haven't had any problems, but then twice in two months time I had issues resulting in replacing my meds!

I have always walked the straight and narrow with my meds, I have been really reliable.. But I was told that if anything else happens I am being cut off on the spot.

THEN I GET THIS AWFUL ZYDUS GENERIC. I took my 2.5 pills and it was like I didn't take anything at all. Half my pills are IR and half ER. Over the span of 12 hours I calculate that 10 pills are only as potent as MAYBE 2 pills, if that.

I called the pharmacy- they will not replace them. I even found a report that there are fake pain pills that end up being sold from pharmacies - many original pills are stolen, and an inferior if not placebo are put in its place. The DEA and FDA know about this but yet there is no recourse for victims to get replacement meds! My pain kept getting worse. I feel completely isolated and alone. My doctor had allowed me to take extra ER to cover for lack of IR in the past - so I decided to just bite the bullet and figure it out down the road - my pain was horrific (still is) and then I realized I only had a few left... There is no way I am going to make it to Friday. I don't think i'll make it to Monday to be honest.

I have never gotten the right dose, the doctors came up with an arbitrary number. I was told that I can take it or leave it, they will not titrate me to a true workable dose. I am not going to lie - I have a huge amount of mg's - but it never was enough to alleviate my pain properly.

I am tired of jumping through hoops, being treated as a drug addict, being in pain that I didn't even think was possible, I wish I had the balls to just kill myself. I have kids, i don't want to put them through losing their daddy. But they are young enough that they may not really remember me if I do....

I am just so damn tired of all this.

These bastards at Zydus should go through what we are going through.

Does anyone know a good pain doctor in the Chicago area?

I have had to deal with Zydus but luckily my pharmacy took my complaint seriously and they ordered the my pain medication from the former drug manufacturer., I have been on my pain medication for 10 years so it was very noticeable when my pain increased.Zydus has a lot of bad write ups and I let my doctor know the same time I let my pharmacist know..

Yes I'm having the same problem. They don't work at all for me. Rite aid only carries the Zydus brand . It's time to change pharmacies.

I was prescribed the Zydus oxycodone 20 & no pain relief. I hope someone turns them in. I did talk with the pharmacy & I thought it was extended release & that was the reason I wasn't getting any relief at all. If it wasn't for the hydrocodone I would of died of pain. I'm so sick I can't function. I am miserable. This should be against the law what they've doing to people. I don't think there is any oxycodone in these pills. I'll report them if anyone knows where to have them evaluated I will. I've been on pain medication for 35 years & this is what happens to me cause my dr decided to change me to these 20's. I told the pharmacy they didn't work & he didn't offer to change them. My script is due again Monday & I don't know if I can go to a different pharmacy now cause they have my script on hold. Don't know what to do.

Hopefully I'm not sharing info that someone else has already, but Zydus is just a replacement name for the extremely shyte Ethex brand that was shutdown by the FDA several years ago. The tablet shapes, colors, texture, etc is pretty much the same other than the actual imprint.
If you search it you will find that Zydus or there parent company bought all the facilities, patents, FDA approvals, etc that was once owned by Ethex. Check it out, inform yourself.

ZYDUS IS GARBAGE JUST LIKE ETHEX WAS!!!!!

I hope the following information is helpful. There are certain generic drugs that are problematic. In your case oxycodone immediate release10 mg tablets, aka. R-Oxycodone. The following 3 generics are the top brands. 1) malincrodot (M on one side and # 10,15 or 30 on the other) are the best. 2) KV tech. 3) actavis. Are all superior to the remaining companies. The majority of physicians and pharmacists that say otherwise are either ignorant, to this fact, or actually lying to you. My advice to you is to request one of the aforementioned 3 companies when filling your Oxycodone tablets. There's several pharmacies that you can choose from! Just ask the pharmacy technician what company you are buying your medicine from. When you do this - try not to raise a red flag. You have the right to know what company is manufacturing the drugs you are taking! I always ask and when they respond with a question instead of an answer. Just tell them that my doctor told me to avoid certain generic manufacturers. Then add: "I like to know what company I am entrusting with my health/life and it's my right as a consumer to know." Be wise and then tell them this. If the generics are the same...then why the F*** are they so much cheaper!?? Think about it? Also, there are so many different companies and if they're all the same: why does my price always change when I get a new version? It's true! Every generic drug is sold at a different price.
