Zopiclone 7.5mg

I have been taking Zoplicone 7.5 mg for about two months and I wan to stop taking it and substitute Melatonin (I am 72 years old).

I am concerned about withdrawal symptoms and worried about just stopping suddenly. How should I go about getting off of Zoplicone?

Two months isn't a really long time, so it's going to depend on your and how quickly your body becomes dependent on something.

Are they time released or regular?

Since this isn't available in the U.S. I am not sure what formulations are available.

If they aren't time released and are in tablet form, then you may be able to just cut the tablets to gradually lower your dosage.

Thank you. I since spoke to my druggist and he suggested cutting the tablets in two (already scored) and taking half for a week then stopping and see what happens. I could transition to Melatonin if having trouble getting to sleep.

Also, seems that Zoplicone is not generally available in the US but seems fairly popular in Canada.

as a user of zopiclone 7.5mg for over 20 years ive had a few detoxs there is a liquid form available in the uk this allows you to come off them gradualy (warning to taste horrid)i really hope this helps you good luck its great to sleep with out medication.
