Zolpidem Generic

ALL CVS pharmacies just changed the zolpidem from MYLAN manufacturer (out of PA) to TORRENT in India. Because generics can certain behave differently, I am nervous about taking the (10 mg) oblong peach Torrent brand one after reading some things online. I also don't like the idea of CVS using from out of the country manufacturer which HAS to be due to a better price because MYLAN brand is still very readily available. Any comments?

You are aware that pharmaceutical companies make different generic versions of popular drugs. (ex. Zolpidem CR). Which kind of that pill did you take? I’m just trying to help and see if I can get him on a better version.

While the medication itself will be the same, the amount of the drug can differ by as much as 20% per a report on 60 Minutes & the binders & fillers used could be VASTLY different.

If you prefer to stay with the Mylan brand then you will need to either ask CVS if you can & if they cannot accommodate you, transfer your medication to another pharmacy. I suggest calling around to see which pharmacy will work with you on this.
I know RiteAid is very good about this, you might try them.

Has anyone tried Hemofarm 10mg zolpidem? They're useless weak pills in my opinion, but Zoltrate zolpidem 10mg long white pills gave me brilliant sleep. I was out in a few minutes... only one thing though, they tasted like boiled eggs.

Torrent will not hurt you but they will not help sleep most of pills has no medication in them and Torrent needs taken off market for their fraud pills

Where can I get TEVA brand I do not want Torrent brand
If you get a 90. Day supply most of the pills do not make you sleep

If you're taking Restoril and Zolpidem and they are not working: Doctors order these meds and you get generic brand from Torrent pharma. These pills some have more medication in them but out of others I received (90 day supply) over half of the medication did not work. Because they are not putting enough medication in the pills. How are they allowed to get away with this? If your going to take a sleep aid by prescription, tell your pharmacist you do not want a generic brand, only name brand.

Torrent Zolpiem is still no good does not work still. Pharmacy said maybe they can order in another brand.

Torrent brand Zolpiem is awful. I think most of them are have no medication in them, like a placebo. Meds from India are worthless and pharmacies in Arizona buy them because they are cheaper. I got in argument with pharmacy and doctor I told them out of 90 zolpidem pills, maybe 10 were effective.

The white round teva 74 is the best followed by the white oval 79. I’ve been on ambien for 20 years and know all the generics. I’d rather take two burgundy ovals than that BS peach 10!

I also have the same problem. I deal with Walgreens and they never give me the same manufacturer on any of my meds. I changed to a mom and pip pharmacy.

We get our meds through Walmart Pharmacy, my RX for Zolpidem is an oval peach color 10 mg. I have severe tinnitus and so for no problems falling asleep.

Tadida -- Maybe your dosage is too high -- try the next lower dose, as I did and had better results. I think the medics tend to over prescribe.

I took the peach ones. They were good. New white Elliptical shaped ones suck. Aurbindo. No sleep. Now Walgreens told me they don’t know when they can get more. Walmart had 250 left. Hopefully I can get my 30 before they are gone too! There will be shortages us what the pharmacy said.

I I experienced the same situation but with the use of Wal-Mart pharmancy. The new brand did not allow me to get a restful sleep. I spoke to the pharmacist and he did agree to refill my medication with the previous brand. He did indicate the change of manufactures was strictly financial in nature. I an thankful forI he's understand and help with this situation. Maybe you could try and work with your. Pharmacist as well. It's worth a try. I hope your able to get things worked out.
