I'm being treated for depression and panic attacks and anxiety disorders. I feel like I may not get this job that would mean so much for me and my well being to get me out of this rut....what should I do? ## If benzos ate a no no, I'm not sure they will let me work for the company. I had an experience April 20th & April 21st. My doctor gave me an allergy medication called Xyzal for seasonal Allergies. I ended up in the hospital because I had 5 days of hallucinations. It was like being on LSD. I soon found myself having alot of anxiety from this and had to wait 4 months to see a phychiarist. They put me on Zoloft. They put me on 25mg but I think they have to up the dosage because I have been taking it for about 2 weeks and I see only a slight change. Does anybody know how long I have to take this before I feel less anxiety? ## My Dr. started me out on 25 mg for the first week, then increased it to 50. I am on probation. I am on Zoloft, hydroxezine, prednisone, bactrim, ibuprofen. I am on zoloft and tested positive for benzos!!! I am on probation, and made them send it out for confirmatory testing results...Is this testing accurate...will it confirm a false-positive??? ## The Sertraline in the Zoloft has been known to cause a false positive for Benzodiazepines. What the further testing will show depends on what type of test they've ordered and how in-depth it is, they should be able to detect the Sertraline and it's metabolites. is any one here, who is taking zoloft again with success? ## It did not work for me, when I tried to take it, again, after being off of it for several years. I started getting all the horrible side effects, including severe depression. How is it working for you? The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings, and weight changes. Can anyone else chime in with their personal experiences?

Hey everyone. I just started zoloft today and I have been having really bad side effects the past few hrs. Increased anxiety, sweating, nausea, i just feel awful. I have a dear friend whose wife left him 2 months ago and is now taking Zoloft (not sure for how long). He mistakenly got off this medication too quickly and had a major withdrawal symptom during which he went completely homicidal/suicidal (he wanted to kill his wife and kill himself). He knew he was experiencing something deeply wrong so he called me to drive him urgently to the pharmacy to pick up his med. He apparently took Clonazepam to calm him down but it made him unable to drive. Once he got his med, he took it right away and felt semi-normal in the matter of 4 hours and "normal or stable" by the next few days. Zoloft is available as both a brand name and a generic, which is called Sertraline, so not every tablet you receive from your pharmacy may look the same, since it is manufactured by several different companies. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Last night i took my first dose of 50mg Zoloft. This is my first anti-anxiety med i've ever taken and it was prescribed to me by my doctor. The side effects started about 3 hours after taking it at 6:30pm and i had panic attacks for hours with little sleep and dizziness. I've lost my appetite and it has been 24 hours now since the dose. I contacted my doctor and they said i could call it off cold turkey since it was only one dose and i shouldn't see any withdrawal side effects. I'm just wondering when the side effects of the first dose will leave my body and i can go back to being normal? I was bedridden all day and i'm only 5'3" and 130 pounds. I have been on 50mg for about 2 years now, but suddenly am more aggitated than normal,could I need a larger dose or change ..? ## Hi Bj, From the looks of things it sounds like your body has become quite tolerant to Zoloft. Having been on it for about 2 years can build up a tolerance even slightly enough to make that much of a difference. If you would like more information on Zoloft, please take a look at the link below... Since you probably have become tolerant to this drug, I personally would not go for a larger dosage, because you will eventually become tolerant to an even larger amount. I Do not Take any Benzodiazapam. I am going to a MMT Clinic, so I do take M-done. I took my test as usual and came up dirty for benzo- ..I do not need to nor want to lose my take homes. here's a list of what I do take on top of my norm..., Zoloft, Concerta (36mg), And occasionally Clonidine (0.01mg)couple times a month<---this seems to help with sweating from m-done, I take Aleve for headaches, I think that's it.... Is daxid equivalent to zoloft can I use the zoloft as a equivalent to daxid ## Yes, they both contain the active ingredient Sertraline, so they are interchangeable, as long as the doses are the same. I've been taking this new med DEXTROAMP-AMPHET ER 20MG. Because of fatigue and foggy feeling due to pain meds for chronic pain plus I take meds for depression and bad anxiety. I feel the dextroamp-amphet ER 20mg working a little but it still doesn't quit take the tired foggy feeling away and it seems to not last all day. Should I ask to up the dose or ask for instant release so it works better? The pain meds I take are oxy 10 mg 3 times daily hydro codon 10 325 2 times daily and for my depression sequel ER 200 mg Zoloft 100 mg and lorazepam 1mg 3 times daily. What due u think I should due. Hi-I have been on Zoloft 150 (Sertraline) for 5 weeks. I jumped really quickly--I started on 50 then 75 for a day or two then 100 for two days and have been on 150 ever since. So basically, low levels for a week then 150. In the past few weeks, I have had shaky hands and a few days ago had itchy skin (which I know could be anything) and leg soreness like I worked out really hard (I have worked out twice in a week) so nothing too crazy. I am very bothered by this--I was on Zoloft before and had no issues. I am also taking (for short period) Klonopin for sleep 1-1.5mg/night. Any thoughts? I feel better but not 100% more like 50-60%. No, it is most likely just a placebo effect, because they don't know anything about the medication and what it does. The only active ingredient in Zoloft is Sertraline, which is an SSRI antidepressant. I have been on Zoloft for several years now. I neglected to bring it with me when I drove down here to Southern California from Nevada, where I live. Can my doctor in Nevada call a prescription for this medication in to a California pharmacy? If possible, please reply ASAP, as I am now out of the medication in question. Thank you. ## California does have laws pertaining to filling out-of-state controlled substances, but since sertraline (zoloft) is not a controlled substance, I don't think you'd run into any problems with your doctor calling it in to a specific pharmacy location, such as CVS, Walgreens and other multi-chain drug stores. Safety of company zoloft ## Hello, Rusti! How are you? It has passed the approval process to be as safe and effective as all the other generics that are on the market.
