The active ingredient in Zolnox is Zolpidem, used for the short term treatment of insomnia.

Some of the most common side effects include: hallucinations, euphoria, amnesia and delusions.

What is the long term side effects of taking Zolnox - I've been taking this for the past 5 months and recently my vision has become extremely weak/blurry. Can this be caused by the intake of Zolnox?

I have been taking Zolnox for a year now. 4 months ago started having sight issuses. Feeling "disconnected" everyday, cronic ringing in my ears and strangely fatigued despite having good sleep. Dont know if it is the Zolnox.

Good day I have taken Zolnox for just over a year now only half a tablet at night and have no complaints. I wake up refreshed and feeling good the next morning.
With Zolnox I have no sleepless nights and no feeling terrible tiered and irritated the next mornings.
I get good nights sleep. As far as the sight goes, I have always worn glasses and would not say it’s that big of a change. (I can go with out drinking them but it’s not worth being to tired and to get no sleep).

i have been using Zolnox for the past 2 years, i sleep very well and wake up refresh, any noise still wakes me up, but i can immediately go back to sleep. i usually take it a t night by 7h30, to wake up at 5 refreshed. As with the eyesight, i am wearing glasses (my eyesight is not poor). i can even take up to 2 zolnox oer night.

I have been using Zolnox now for about a year and want to go off it. How long should I take to do so? I am planning to first take 3/4 of a tablet in stead of 1 tablet a night for about a week, then 1/2 a tablet for another week and then only 1/4 for the last week, taking about a month to try and kick the habit. Does that make sense?

I've been using Zolnox for about a year and a half to treat my lifelong burden of insomnia. I started off on 20mg a night for about a month then took half pills (10mg) every night. My eyesight has never been effected. I have never experienced fatigue in the morning. I dream as if I had the mind of an enchanted child and I wake up feeling fresh and ready for the day

Hey to al u guys out there zolnox should nt b taken for more than two weeks or consistantly its addictive has very bad side effects like hullusinations,delusinal ,blurry eye sight ,euphoria etc. Only take what is prescribed nt more an overdose with time can lead to death.

Hi all. I just came off a addiction on Zolpidem (Zolnox). Zolpidem is a hypnotic sedative,ist in the class of nonbenzodiazepine hypnotic it has an affect on the CNS by binding to GABA receptors in the brain. Zolpidem (generig names including Ambien, Stilnox, Stilnox MR etc.) is very very dangerous. It is not even a very effectice sleep aid as its half life is a mere 2-3 hours. It only assists in inducing sleep but due to its short half life it wont maintain sleep long enough that one will get from natural sleep. Adults need between 7-8hours of sleep per night. Take it from me, who suffers from insomnia and usually only gets 45-60mins of sleep per night, that even 2 hours of NATURAL sleep is way better than 8-10 hours of sleep obtain through sleep aids. Long term use of zolpidem worsen your body's ability of secreting menotolin which is our body's natural sleep inducing chemical, so the longer you use zolpidem the less you will be able to get natural sleep. Many will agree that sleep aids does have a place in treating insomnia, but it is only meant to taek 1-2 times per week and never longer than 4-6weeks. If you are unable to sleep rather look at the multitude of other reasons that may cause this problem. Stress managing, depression, diet, exercise, basicly all the things that is managable but easily overlooked. Many people will think laying in bed and watching tv will make you woozy and fall assleep eventually, not true. A tv shouldnt even be allowed in your bedroom as watching it activate the brains sensory receptors causing you to be even more awake. Caffiene should never be taken after 4pm, this includes cofee and soft drinks. Rather take juice or water. No big meals prior to sleep, this will kick the body's metabolic process in action which in turn will keep you awake. Physical exercise will enhance your body's sleep pattern, but no rigarous excercise before you go to bed. intercourse induces sleep for men, but will make a woman more alert so ladies avoid that if you can (sorry lads).

It is so easily to get addicted to this drug, some nights i will take up to 10 at once only to wake up the next morning not knowing what i've done, i've texted people weird unreadable messages, called friends and even drove. I've had 3 accidents while under the influence of this drug. I would some nights take even more zolpidems without knowing it, up to 30 a night. The next day i'm depressed and dazed and confused. It caused me to loose interst in my work and i've even lost my girlfriend cause i would take the pills and ramble weird and mean things to her, she couldnt take it anymore. They say it's best to tapper off slowly, at a rate of 10% every 2weeks, but i'm telling you cold turkey is the best. It's hell on you, but anyone with an addiction problem cannot be trusted with a box of zolpidem and hace the will power to take less, bottom line- if you have it you'll use it, whether you have 5 or 50 pills.

I hope my post will shed light on the matter, like i said i was addicted to it and have been through it all.

August 2014.

I am a business executive and started using Zolnox to switch off and prevent being anxious and awake the whole night. Since January 2014 I have dramatically increased my dosages, I even started crunching it to insufflate if I want to fall asleep shortly after dinner.

Recently I started going to different pharmacies to get up to 10 packets a month. 2 Nights ago I insufflated 2 and the next thing I became aware of was waking up the next morning with having ingested 2 full packets of 30 each. Last thing I remember is feeding my dog immediately after having taken this first dosage. I will be seeing a therapist for help as the problem is not the pill itself but my lifestyle working 16 hour days trying to keep the business together. I have started becoming depressed, very short tempered and unable to focus and my relationship is under tremendous strain as a result. Rather seek help for the causes of the need to overdose. I take up to 30 a day, not all at once, but 4 at a time. I want to stop. I have terrible epileptic seizures, 11 on the day my mum passed. Due to physical abuse, my doctor prescribed this. I started to overtake being scared of him. Now that I am not with him I want to stop work again and live a normal life. How do I do that? I am scared of seizures, not medical aid and a single mum who lost my pillar of strength 2 months ago.
