I am taking Xolair for autoimmune disease. I have told my doctor about my severe hair loss and he suggested that it is not because of the Xolair, but instead autoimmune response. I, of course, think it is because of the Xolair have I read a lot of what other people taking the drug have said. Is there any information I can point my doctor to in hopes of getting better/different treatment.

Hello, Mel! How are you doing? I am very sorry about the problems that you're having.

Your doctor just needs to look at the detail prescribing information. It is all listed in there among the side effect information. You may also experience nausea and fatigue.

Does anyone else have any advice to add?

Hi. I have been on xolair for 9 months. I started shedding 5 months in, and it hasn't stopped. Anyone care to update on if their hair stopped shedding, and stayed on xolair?

I started getting Xolair injections for Urticaria in Jan '17. 300 dosage and 2 months ago I began to experience the hair loss, excessive thinning and rough texture. The allergist nor a hair specialist blames Xolair. I'm using Rogaine now.,my urticaria is almost gone and it was very severe. So , I can't complain.-:)

Day 5 on xolair. No hives but Im still taking benedryl to yelp with that. I really want this medicine to work. Ive had uticaria since 2002. Side effects so far been scary. Heavy chest second day. First day hives and tired. Second day dizzy and severe muscle cramps and headache. Anxiety thru the roof. Didnt know what was going on. Third day hair loss getting worse. Fourth day thought it was getting better with itching so I cut down on benedryl. Started to really it h by evening. Day five still itching. Will this work or am I hypersensitive to this drug?

I've only gotten one dose of this medicine and am experiencing hair loss as well. Not a pleasant side effect. I had a lot of side effects with this medicine. A few very alarming. After about 4 days. Side effects except the hair loss started to subside. I wonder if your body can adjust and get used to it over time. Would be nice.

Hi! I experience hair loss and it became mire dry, when i started on october, 2017. I was having it every 15 days. Spacing it to 20 days between injections made my hair fall lesa and less. I still feel tired, sometimes flu like, i have muscle/joint pain and i feel really cold afterwards. Very few times i felt nausea.
Hope everyone is feeling better. I have betrer moments and the I have more asma than usually. Still not sure this is making me really better...

I have been taking Xolair for 11 months every three weeks now. It started out every two weeks because of severe hives. Since started the hives are gone but the pain in my arm is unbareable sometimes. My hair is thinning really bad. I also experience joint pain and muscle loss. What are people doing to help with the hair loss and other side effects.
