Xarelto And Spinal Stroke?

Has Xarelto caused you to have a spinal stroke?

Xarelto has been known to cause many types of bleeding and strokes in various parts of the body, though spinal is not specifically mentioned, the FDA does warn about possible bleeding issues and stroke in general. Other side effects may include dizziness, headache and nausea.

Does you doctor think it caused this to happen to you?

Yes, he thinks that's a strong possibility. I'm still having diagnostics done to determine the cause of my problem. I go for a second opinion next week with another neurologist. I have been taking Xarelto since last August. This drug has scared me ever since I started it after being diagnosed with Afib. I have an appt with my cardiologist next month and I plan to insist he put me on Coumadin. I dread the monthly evaluations but that's a small price to pay rather than being killed by Xarelto!
