Xarelto And Possible Side Effects

Hello Everyone, My husband has been taking Xarelto for 11 days for a DVT discovered due to an unrelated nerve issue in his lower right leg. Since being on the meds he complains of being nauseous and doesn't feel like eating which is causing weight loss. He is also extremely fatigued. He feels tired, weak and has some tingling in his arms, legs.....also says that he feels "jittery" (he isn't shaking physically, but feels jittery). Has anyone else experienced any of these side effects? Do they improve? Thanks for any help that you can provide. We are very worried about all of this.

Yes, those can be side effects of this medication according to FDA reports. However, they are usually transient and tend to go away, once someone's body gets used to the medication, but that may take 5 to 6 weeks.

If they get too severe, or worsen, he should consult his doctor as he may need to try a different medication.

How is he doing, now? Has there been any change?

Thank you for replying. Dan is adapting more to the Xarelto. Is isn't feeling the jitters or numbness/tingling in his limbs anymore. His appetite has also returned. He still feels weakness in his muscles and in his knee joints. We are hoping that he continues to improve/adapt. He is now on 20mg once a day.
