Xarelto, Fish Oil & Arginine

Does anyone here take Fish Oil or Vitamin E? My holistic doctor prescribes it, she keeps pushing me to take the fish oil. I will go see her next week, but I've read it can thin your blood so is it safe to take with Xarelto? Also I take Arginine but I showed it to 2 of my doctors and they ok'd it. It's really good for the heart, but it does say on the box don't take it if you've had a heart attack.

My chiro is really pushing me to remain on the Fish Oil but it does thin out the blood and so is it safe to continue it? I know my VA doctor a while back put me on fish oil so maybe I should get with her and see what she thinks now that I'm taking Xarelto.

Yes, fish oil is great for the heart and cardiovascular system and can be taken as long as your doctor approves.

But yes, it can have some blood thinning effects, so you should only take it, if your doctor approves.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of Xarelto as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising.

Just to follow up on my ans. my chiro gave me the arginine, waiting to see what she recommends if ok with my Rx. Although she's not an MD I value her opinion, I've known her for 25yr and she has a lot of medical knowledge, she's certified by DOT to perform physical exams on airline pilots.
