the Mylan ones, as far as I am concerned are as good as if not Better than the bars!!!! Not nearly the addatives the bars contains. Anyone agree:

Listen, the Mylan A4 are the SAME THING AS THE BARS! They are both 2mg Xanax. Mylan is just the manufacturer. It still contains the EXACT SAME ingredients as the 2mg xanny bar. It is not a lemon. The round white 4-scored Mylan A4 2mg xanax is the EXACT SAME as a 2mg xanny bar (which is the most common). It is the same thing and contains the same ingredients, it's just made my 2 different companies!

katlin, mentioned a round tablet with the letters a4. i was wondering if thats xanax as well. the pill is white.

Mylan A4 is 2mg Alprazolam and is the generic for Xanax.

Mylan 1610, on the other hand, is 10 mg Dicyclomine generic for Bentyl

I mean how much of a diff is there if I take 4 .25 zans and 2 of the maylan a4 would I get f***ed up and if so how many bars will that equal too?? Thanks for any help

Hi Britney,

Mylan is a pharmaceutical company that manufactures a lot of generics. So if a medicine says Mylan on it, that simply means that they are the manufacturer, and it is not the name of the med.

Usually it would say Mylan and then also have some numbers on it. Does your pill have numbers on it as well? If so please post exactly what your pill says + the shape and color... and then somebody can run a positive ID on it for you.

I've been taking xanax 2mg months, I went to a different Pharmacy and I was given Alprazolam 2mg Myan A4. Is there a differance in this medication because I don't feel comfortable?

The majority of prescription drugs arent needed and are taken for fun, but Americans abuse everything, especially drugs, legal, illegal, or prescribed. The FDA gives u just enough meds to make feel good enough so u continue to come back so they continue to make money. If they gave out cures for everything, a lot of people would be out of jobs and they would be no more FDA

I found a White Round Pill with Mylan A4 on one side and the other side is scored to be cut into four pieces I found this in my bathroom and nobody at my house tis taking any medicine I wanted to know what this is and what are the side effects ?

i have taken xanax for about a year now off and on to help me sleep and this last time they gave me the mylan brand and thats how found this website...i was googleing to see what i was taking. they do not help me sleep at all. no where near affective. give me my bars back please. by the way i only take a quarter at a time so im not a druggie or anything just a tired as** momma who works 40+ hrs and needs some help falling asleep sometimes.

im telling you for sure that some generics just are not that same even if they suposedly are made of the same ingredient. theses mylan xanax are crap taking 2mg is like taking 1mg of any other brand including generics , i found this site only because i culdnt understand why my medication wasnt working like usual and sure enough dozens of others have noticed the same problem. DONT BUY MYLAN GENERICS

The only reason you would want bars over mylans is because your reselling and bars is a "brand name". I took a bar two nights ago and a mylan last night and guess what, they are EXACTLY THE SAME.

Listen up people.... I have been perscribed Xanax of all milligrams, and all brands. In order to be passed by the FDA they MUST have the EXACT amount of active ingredients as any other. It basically boils down to how old the medication is. I've had 1mg xanax that put a 2mg bar to shame, only because they were fresher. As soon as the seal is broken from the manufacturers bottle they start becoming less potent. So, if you want the stronger medication simply discuss it with your pharmacist and ask them to fill your prescription out of a NEW bottle that the seal has not be broken and I PROMISE you will be happy. ;) BTW- JEFF PLEASE use caution in taking that much that dosage of xanax. That is almost triple the dosage that most people are prescribed. Just a lil' warning, cause unfortunatly I've lost a couple really good friends who tried self medicating and dosing due to overdose! I also wanted to say.. although I prefer the bars (sticks, 4 bars, juss plain ol' bars. etc..).. the Mylan A4, which is generic 2mg Xanax (Alprazolam) is the exact same amount of active ingredients as the bars ( any brand that makes them in bar shape.) It would be illegal for them to make the mylan 2mg Alprazolams any different, active ingredient wise. If you think the bars are better (any brand that makes rectangular bars) I'm sorry but you are wrong.. they are all the same 2mg Alprazolam, no matter what company that makes the generics, are all the exact same except for maybe the fillers the use. I know some idiot who used to IV generic Xanax and Klonopins, he actually prefered the Mylan A4 2mg generic Xanax for IV use, because i guess they had less in-active filler. Bottom line, all generic Alprazolam formulations are the more or less the same. If you feel like one is better, its either your mind playing tricks on you, or for some reason your body processes a certain brand faster.. I dont know. Jusy my 2 Cents... (well maybe its like 5 or 6 cents :) hehe) I juss popped 2 Mylan A4 Alprazolams and I'm feeling nice and loose, the exact same way if I took any variety of the generic "bars" they make.
