Wrong Dosage Of Norethisterone Taken

I have been experiencing abnormal bleeding and my doctor prescribed me Norethisterone for 21 days starting 21 March. The dosage indicated 2 tablets 2 times a day for 21 days. However, I don't know why I heard the pharmacist as saying 1 tablet 2 times a day. So from 21 March till just now, I have been taking 1 tablet each time. I only just realized my blunder earlier on when taking my 2nd dose of the day (to which I took 2 tablets upon realizing my mistake). Will this affect my treatment? I should just continue to take the correct dosage until I finish the medication?

Have you consulted your doctor? You might need to have them prescribe more tablets for you to resolve the issue.

Are you still bleeding?

The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, weight changes, mood swings, and spotting.

Hi Verwon, thanks for your reply. Yes, I am still seeing blood though in smaller amounts. I will be going back for a review on 20 April, so I shall see how it goes.

So an update. I completed my medication last Friday and on Monday morning experienced the absolute horror of a period/withdrawal bleeding. The bleeding is much better now. Does anyone know whether this will reset my menstrual cycle? Or just make it haywire? Will the bleeding stop after a week? Thanks!
