The pharmacy did not fill my prescription because they needed insurance approval. After calling everyday and hearing the pharmacy's excuse on why my script filling was delayed I got it. I am on effient 10mg also and 20mg of xarelto. Started it again 5 days ago but left side of chest feels a heaviness and dull pain. I have had several bouts with bilateral pulmonary embolism. Never a dvt. Had to have femoral tibia bypass on both legs. I was wondering how do I find out if I might have another blood clot in lungs? Last April I went to ER cause I could not stop throwing up and it turn out I had a big clot in the aorta and several small in thoracic in chest. My breathing was fine just felt icky and throwing up. I've been feeling weak and this dull pain left side breast area makes me wonder should I go to ER. Is the dinner blood evaluation a way to tell if there is a blood clot? I've been diagnosed with hypercoagulation state. They drew my blood when I was on 8 mg of warafin and it clotted before it got to the lab. That when I was put on xarelto and pravix. Insurance did not cover pravix so i was given effient. I worried but don't want to seem like I'm a hypochondriac.. Taking a wait and see approach for now.

Hello, Fel! How are you doing? I'm so sorry about what you've been through.

I strongly urge you to seek medical attention. Given your medical history, you may be at serious risk, if you don't have this checked out. I don't think the wait and see approach is a good idea, especially not with chest pain.

There can be risks to abruptly stopping, or missing doses of a medication, such as this. As listed by the FDA, they may include clots, stroke and/or heart attack.

Are you still feeling these symptoms?

I was wondering if it's ok to consume marijuana? I'm not talking home grown. I'm talking about the absolute best redhair skunk marijuana yet in all of b.c Canada. I quit all my heart meds and blood thinners over 36 days ago. I up and just went cold turkey. My heart then was beating 233 beats a minute and I had A-Fib.

I think I would start shaving the Xarelto a little bit each day. A REAL LITTLE BIT! Till I am on barely anything, then slowly, every other day then stop. These docs just haven't a clue
