Will Using Pentrexyl Conflict With Asthma Meds Like Ventolin?

I have a pretty bad cold (could be the flu) and I heard Pentrexyl is pretty good for it, but I also have asthma, and I don't want it to conflict with my current meds.

No, Pentrexyl will not do anything to treat a cold or flu.

As listed by the FDA, it is an antibiotic and is only effective at treating or preventing bacterial infections. However, cold and flu are both caused by viruses. The typical side effects of antibiotics may also include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Taking it inappropriately could result in your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria, so you should only take it when your doctor has verified the presence of an infection and instructed you to do so.
