I take 9 oxycodone 10/325mg and morphine sulfate 60mg 2 times a day. My insurance changed and I was denied my prescription of oxycodone due to Doctors Authorization. Will I get withdral symptoms even though I am still taking the morphine sulfate?

Hello, Mariposa! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having.

Yes, you may experience some withdrawal symptoms, because Oxycodone is actually stronger than Morphine, plus your body is used to having that additional level of narcotic.

Have you contacted your doctor about correcting the issue?

Yes I have contacted the doctors office, the office staff is rude and will not forward a message to the doctor. I made an appointment to speak with him on the 20th. I think I am going to try a different medication.

Re: mariposa07 (# 2)

IMHO call back. Ask for office manager, say the following, IF U DO NOT RECEIVE A CALLBACK FROM THE DOCTOR U WILL FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE STATE MEDICAL BOARD, AND HANG UP. It costs u nothing to file a complaint, it is not frivolous AND THE DOCTOR MUST respond to them or he is in deep doo doo.
