The Cyclobenzaprine in Flexeril isn't known to cause false positives for Benzodiazepines, but it has been known to cause them for Tricyclic antidepressants.

Tramadol will cause false positives for Methadone. It happens to me every time I take a drug test.

My pain mgmt doc tests for it! Had some overlap of Rx for tramadol and Norco, took a few trams to ease the pain when Norco ran out, and there it was, earned me a stern lecture and only a 1 mo Rx for Norco instead of usual 3 mo. And was told to stay off it or else!

I took a UA today and it was positive for benzo, and I am prescribed to flexeril. So this is incorrect.

No flexeril will not show up as anything unless they check for anti depressants which is uncommon unless they're specifically look for it. I know cuz I just too a ua for Florida and Alabama for drug court and probation.

it does not show up on urine drug test I take them 5 times a day and am on drug court and test 5 days a week I have never had a dirty drop

Tramadol/Ultram is a quasi synthetic opiate which can cause a false positive for opiates. But it will not show up as a benzo.

I am precribed Flexeril and wonder why I have a positive Benzo drug screen also. I haven't touched a benzo in 15 yrs. I despise them, and my doctor knows this! Has happened to way too many people for it to be wrong, ya think?

Tramadol is NOT a narcotic. I am a pharmacy tech and this is a question we get a lot. It is not a scheduled medication.

Yes, I just took my 78 year old mother to the Dr. today and she also tested positive for benzo's after taking some older flexeril she had from a different Dr.. However, this was on a dip style cup test that wasn't sent in to a lab yet, and it DID show up as a positive for benzo's. The dr does believe her that she didnt take any benzo's,.. and to my knowledge shes never had any prescription for benzo's, but he just wants to find out what is going on,... The flexeril is the ONLY thing that she has taken that was different.
