From what I could gather, you're certainly not alone in this matter. There's actually a fairly large discussion thread here (linked below) talking about this very problem with the "weaker" white version replacing the "stronger" yellow tablets.

Perhaps some of the responses there can at least offer a bit more insight as to why this is happening and how others might be coping with it: Discuss/White-Watson-10mg-325-853-245408.htm

I hope this helps!

I agree. The new white Norcs do not work nearly as good as the yellows. They make me dizzy, itchy, and do not help with the pain. One yellow is better than 3 whites. What's the deal???

I didn't think it was just me!! They told me the only difference was that the ones now don't have any Tylenol. I'm sorry, but, there is a difference!

I tried all the generic Norcos except for the par Pharmacy. I can't stand the white Watson's 853, the Rhodes did not work, mallincokrodt make me itch and do not work for pain. Has anyone tried the par pharmacies? I pick up tomorrow my strength is 10 / 3 25. Which one is better the Rhodes or the par Pharmacy Norcos??? I've been in chronic pain for over 15 years. I used to take six Vicodins ES a day before they discontinued them and I were a Butrans patch with it. My new doctor only prescribe Norcos. I don't feel anything off any of the other ones I've tried. Has par help anybody? Please let me know. I can't find the yellow norcos anywhere from qualities. Does anyone know any place in Lake Forest Mission Viejo or any surrounding cities that carries them? Please let me know. I'm in so much pain I could scream. Help me help me help me thank you have a great day
