Who Manufactures Walmart Brand Methylphenidate Er 27

Recently filled a methylphenidate prescription at rite aid that doesn't work nearly as we'll for my 6 yr old grandson as the same one from Wal-Mart did.I hear that rite aid manufacturer Mallinckrodt is not effective at all but his Dr thinks I'm crazy. Do u no the manufacturer of Wal-Mart and Is there any truth to rite aid manufacturer being not effective.

There is no specific one that any given pharmacy always carries, it can vary, depending on which company was offering the cheapest price, at the time they needed to restock their supply. Thus, I can't provide you much information based on your post. For instance, next month, rather than the getting the Mallinckrodt product from Rite Aid, they may have the same one you used to get from Wal-Mart.

Do you know what the markings are on any of the tablets in question? This information would enable me to check into more details for you.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, nervousness and anorexia.

Has anyone else experienced a problem like this?

Since posting this I found the wamart prescription to be made from Watson.I also discovered after talking with the rite aid pharmacist that mallinkrodt brand methylphenidate ER 27 is not eguivelant to and should not b a replacement for concerta.Watson was very close to comparison.he also said if we bumped up the dose from 27 to 36 I believe was the comparison of mallinckrodt it would b more comparable to the other.what's up with that? Thank you to the pharmacist who gave me this info.a little late but at least I no now.I suggest people to read up on some of the findings of mallinckrodt meds as there seems to b problems with several of them. Thank you
