Hi... On my med bottle are these numbers: 00093-5277-01; Drug manufacturer: Teva Pharm. The numbers are correct. The pill description on the bottle says it's a white round pill imprinted with 93 on one side and 5277 on the other side. However, some of the pills are white with 93 on one side and blank on the other...and some of the pills in the same bottle look the same but have 93 on one side and 5277 on the other side... My concern is the pill with just 93 and no imprint on the other side.

Hi Helen,

Sorry to hear about your situation. Sounds like the pharmacy you filled your prescription at may have screwed up? In such a case, perhaps it would be best to contact them directly regarding this concern to see how or if they can remedy the problem... Part of the dilemma is that once you leave the counter with your script, they usually don't allow any returns... but this doesn't mean they wont be able to offer feedback on the issue at hand.

Nevertheless, I would probably opt to go to a different pharmacy after this experience, because you never know if someone back there may have been tampering with the prescriptions and replacing real tablets with fake ones.

The National Drug Code you provided (0093-5277) is indicative of Dexmethylphenidate Hydrochloride (10mg); made by Teva Pharmaceuticals USA.

Inactive Ingredients:
-Anhydrous Lactose
-Lactose Monohydrate
-Magnesium Stearate
-Cellulose, Microcrystalline
-Starch, Corn
-Sodium Starch Glycolate Type a Potato
-Silicon Dioxide

The picture clearly depicts what a real pill with these markings should look like and without the proper imprints I too would be skeptical of their legitimacy.

Please post back if you're able to get this situation sorted out. I hope this info helps!
