If there are no markings, it may be difficult to determine what this tablet contains.

We can rule it out as being a U.S. prescription tablet, because they are all required to have unique imprints to enable their identification, however, it could be any one of a large number of over the counter items.

There is also a small chance that it could be a foreign medication.

Did you try asking your son about it?

I am almost positive that it is a 2mg clonazepam/klonopin. I have one that it from Iran and it is a 2mg clonazepam perscribed primarily for anxiety issues, panic attacks, etc. It is definetely foreign though as you said and mine was from Iran so it might be a middle eastern country.
