In Tate's case, I find it very strange that the mother of the little girl who was sleeping over wasn't questioned about this pill directly before resorting to the internet for answers. Surely, asking this mother would be the easiest approach if her daughter spends the night at your house and she also gave you one to give to your own daughter? I personally wouldn't accept anything that I couldn't identify right off the bat, let alone give it to my daughter...

At any rate, we can feasibly rule out any possibility of this being a U.S. prescription drug, since the FDA requires prescription pharmaceuticals to bear markings for identification. This leaves the high likelihood of it being an OTC sleep aid or perhaps another type of OTC dietary supplement that promotes a good night's rest.

Unfortunately without an imprint, we can only guess. However, it may be a good idea to take this into a local pharmacy where they might have a better chance at pinpointing a match. Other than that, I believe your best bet is to ask the parent who gave it to you... Sorry I couldn't be of more help with this.

Re: Tate (# 2)

The little white pill with purple or red specks is a melatonin. It doesn't have a mark because it's an OTC product. A natural sleep aid that our bodies produce naturally. I know this is 5 years after or so but still..
