Where Is Solco Avapro Made

I have been taking brand name Avapro for years, but now that it has gone generic Theexpense has become astronomical. Thinking about going generic ...however worried about side effects. Any generic version I should be aware of? I am so leary of generics and the fillers and overseas manufacturers.

Based on my research Avapro made by Solco healthcare U.S. is based out of Cranbury, New Jersey. It appears that this is where their headquarters is located according to the company's webpage.

You are right though about generics being a little iffy when it comes to the fillers and side effects. However there's really no way to know for sure how any generic/brand is going to effect you until you try it. If you're used to taking the brand name, it would probably be easier for you to be able to tell if there were any subtle or significant differences as to how well it works in comparison. But odds are, it's probably cheaper for a good reason.

At least the manufacturer is "local" and not in some other foreign country.

I had been taking Avapro for many years and my blood pressure was completely under control until my HP Insurance abruptly denied it. Then the new generic they gave me did not work and I had side affects which made it a waste of money for both the Insurance and me the consumer/patient, which obviously Insurance companies don't care about. Ironic isn't it. When a drug works for a patient they should just give it to them and stop whining and forcing generics on the consumer because they say they are cheaper. Cheaper does not mean they work better and in truth they are Not exactly the same as the brand because of copyright law and what's worse most come from foreign countries which is dangerous in these terrorist times. When my insurance changed later to BCBS my Doctor put in a prior auth and I was able to get Avapro again. But I did have an employee tell me that they have the right to give you generics, like it or not. So where is our Politicians on this issue? Hillary Clinton? Jeb Bush? Donald Trump? By the way they all seem to want to enslave Seniors and control what they take. It's another Hitler in the making. Or is it another way to get rid of as many as they can?
