I have spinal STENOSIS and need Darvocet. I cannot take aspirin or Non Inflammatories. I have a script from my doctor.

I'm sorry, but Darvocet has been removed from the market in the U.S., Canada and most other countries.

It contained the active ingredients Propoxyphene and Acetaminophen and the Propoxyphene was found to be cardiotoxic.

I'm very surprised that your doctor wasn't aware of this information.

There are, however, other narcotic analgesics on the market that contain Acetaminophen, rather than NSAIDs, so you may want to discuss using on of them with your doctor. Percocet, which contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen is the most commonly used.

There is nothing wrong with Darvocet. Just some people who overdosed themselves on it and now the rest of us who really need it can't get it.
