Some pharmacies have stopped keeping it in stock due to the high risk of theft.

How have you been checking with them to see if they have it?

Since it is a controlled substance, if you are just calling them, you are not likely to get a correct answer, since they have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is potential thief, or a legitimate customer. Thus, you need to actually go to the pharmacies, with your prescription in hand.

I want justice for my concern on getting my oxycodone script filled in south florida. I suffer from cronic pain and something needs to change with either the new laws on getting my script filled in my area/ county. It shouldn't be such a ridiculous hard time wasting time and gas driving from pharmacy to pharmacy while in pain, and suffering from withdrawl and being discriminated against for being prescribed a narcotic. Especially in these big chains such as CVS and Walgreens. Other decent people like myself can't stay on medication they need to lead a normal pain free life, and its unsafe as any doctor would tell u to be completely cut off these meds just because of some people and some pain clinics. That doesn't mean I should have to pay 5 to 6 dollars a pill from some small pharmacy because of a few bad apples in this state. I've even heard that the DEA has mailed out letters to most all pharmacy's about the good, the bad, the ugly of this drug. Making me and other decent people broke, sick, and down right angry that no oxycodones are available.

I am sorry to read of what you are going through.

The only thing you can really do, however, is report the issues and your experiences to the FDA, since they are the basic regulators of medications in the U.S.

To do so, you can call them at 888-INFO-FDA and you should be ready to let them know the names of the pharmacies that you also have complaints about.

In addition, if the withdrawals are severe, then you should go to the nearest emergency treatment facility for help.
