Have deteriorating disc at the 4/5 in lower back. It is going out towards my back which to me is more uncomfortable but doctor will not give me any thing for the pain. I have taken Vicodin, Tylenol, Ibuprofen and now I'm trying the new back advanced but can't take the other pills. I have tried to get disability but doctor says I need surgery. I refuse to have it 1. cost to much with no insurance and 2. have family members that have had it and just made it worse.

If the issue is so severe that you need surgery, it is doubtful that you will find any over the counter medication that will handle the pain. Over the counter products are intended to be used to relieve minor aches and pains, not something severe.

Have you considered seeing a different doctor? A pain management specialist would probably be the best person to help you.

Tereesa, I am so very sorry . I have the very same thing . I'm probably older because everyone of my discs has had to be fused. As long as you find a great Dr with a great back ground, tell the you only will so Kyphoplasty. It is a 45 minute procedure per vertebrae. I messed up and had back surgery with a chest tube and everything. I am on disability. If you don't have a lawyer, get one. They will help you. Disc degeneration is severely painful. STAY away from the REAL SURGIES if you can. Good and I am praying for you.
