Weak Watson 853

Updated

White Watson 853 not near as strong as the yellow ones. WTF has changed? I know I used to take about 5-6 doses per day of yellow tablets. Now with the whites, I'd need to double or even triple my dose to get the same relief?! You tell me they're the same?? Bull... I couldn't take that many of the yellows if I wanted to. If I had to guess, coming from someone that took these everyday, is that the white ones are like half the strength as the yellow ones. No way they are the same. Don't care what the box says. Try them and you will see. Government I'm sure controlling meds, just like turning the good, helpful OCs into completely useless OPs.

Hello, Eight8! How are you? I'm sorry that you're having a problem.

However, I can't really check this out for just based on the colors.

Are you sure that the dosage is the same?

The comparison is between watson 853 white tab, and watson 853 yellow tab. Both claim 10 MG hydrocodone. And 325 apap. They are not the same! 100% sure. And IF, a big IF, they both do have the same amount of hydrocodone, then the way it binds or some other way the body is able, or unable, to use it is different with the white tabs vs. The yellow tabs. Again, I've done several unscientific tests on myself, 100% sure they are NOT the same thing. A big difference in potency. Almost NO euphoric effect, almost NO pain relief. I will avoid Watson brand at all cost from now on. Complete waste.

I have been getting my prescription for 10/325 Hydrocodone/acetaminophen for a number of years at Wal-mart. I know what works and what doesn't. Because of the recent Federal guidelines you have to have handwritten scripts which makes getting a prescription hard to fill, so I was forced to go to Walgreens. They filled with Norco Watson 853 White tablets. I immediately noticed I would only get relief from my migraines for only an hour. I couldn't understand why the pain pill wasn't working. I have rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, etc. I was concerned the pharmacy had only given me 5/325s until I looked it up and saw all these posts. I've never had this kind of problem before. I just knew the pill looked different and I wasn't getting relief. Now, I'm stuck. I guess I will have to shop for a specific hydrocodone in the future. Who would have thought?

I was told by a Dr that Watson is now Actavis and yes, they have changed them. He said they changed the ingredients so they can't be abused. That's all fine and dandy BUT changing the strength is wrong. The M367's are worthless and we all seem to be in agreement on that. Just getting our prescriptions filled every month has turned into a very stressful endeavor. More often than not their supplies of Norco are low or they have none. It's hard not to show panic or anger because they act like they are merely saying something like "we're out of mouthwash." We were prescribed this stuff for a reason and I would imagine for a lot of us our pain increases over time. Degenerative ailments are called that for a reason. Being treated like a drug addict at the pharmacy after years of legitimate prescriptions being filled from legit Drs is plain wrong. I keep waiting to wake up from this nightmare referred to as the government for the people. HOGWASH (not what I really want to say. Look up Ronin's remarks from previous chats. There is a example letter that we should all be sending to our Congress people. She wrote a darn good letter.

I have been taking the white ones for 2 years after a bad back surgery. The Watson 853 10-325 work the absolute best for me the white ones. The yellow never seemed to work for me at all.
