I have been on vytorin for about 4 yrs. In the past year I have been haveing some really bad pains in the muscles in my arms just down from my shoulders. It is usually just when I wake up. I hadn't considered this as a side affect of vytorin untill I read sore muscles in this forum. I've had great results from vytorin and with the exception of it's outrageious price wouldn't mind staying on it.How can I test, without stoping it, if this is the cause of my sore muscles. Would that symptom come on after 3 yrs. or is it possible that vytorin is the cause. Thanks. Due to costs, etc, interested in replacing Vytorin 10/80 with a generic Zocor. ## It really depends on your own body, generics work well for some people and for some, they don't. Under U.S. Federal Law, generic medications are allowed to differ in the active ingredient by as much as PLUS OR MINUS 20%, so that made by one company may contain the correct dosage and that made by another company may not.
