Why is there a shortage of Vivarin? ## I am also wanting know why there seems to be a shortage in stores of Vivarin!! What is going on? ## I'm sorry, but since this is an over the counter product, shortages aren't required to be reported, so I've been unable to find any information on it. This is just something that contains caffeine, which is sold as an alertness aid, so you can effectively achieve the same thing with any store brand/generic, or caffeinated drinks. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I contacted Vivarin on their FB page. They verified a Minor Supply problem and it should be back on shelves as of July 1st. ## Thanks for this info. there is nothing on one side just a fancy v on the other ## Hello, Barbara! How are you? I'm not sure, but I think this might be one of the over the counter Vivarin products. They typically contain about 200mgs of Caffeine and are used as alertness aids. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness and insomnia. Can anyone verify this?

small light yellow pill, with a raised V on one side only. What is it? Found it in my mother in laws pill box, and she doesn't know what it is. Not sure if she should be taking it or not. Thanks! ## It's never a good idea to take anything you can't identify. This imprint is kind of vague, which makes me suspect that it is probably and over the counter product. In this case, I've seen a similar imprint on Vivarin and its generics/store brands. It contains caffeine and is used as an alertness aid. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Found a Orange Round Pill Only a V on one side, no numbers or letters on the other side. It is very thick. Do u k now what it possibly may be? ## I can't find any prescription medications that just have a V marking on them, but there is an over the counter product available that meets this description. They are Vivarin tablets, sold as an alertness aid, they contain 200mgs of Caffeine. They are usually yellow in color, but while doing an image search, I did find a generic brand with the same marking that is darker in color, so it appears orange. Are there any other questions? ## this pill is thick and orange not yellow. the V is not think just normal. any other suggestions?
