1/2 inch long capsule, green on one end and white on the other, on the green is the word VISTARIL and on the white end is the word PFIZER and the number 542 ## The pill in description is a by product of Hydroxyzine (50 mg), known as Vistaril. Hydroxyzine is used primarily as an antihistamine for the treatment of itches and irritations, an antiemetic for the reduction of nausea, as a weak analgesic by itself and as an opioid potentiator, and as an anxiolytic for the treatment of anxiety. This is an antihistamine, commonly used to treat allergies, sleep disorders and sometimes nervous disorders, due to the sedative effects. These drugs can also help reduce nausea and vomiting caused by other medications, treatments or motion sickness. Thus, the most common side effect is drowsiness. ## ## i have problem with my anaphylaxis allergies, my doctor prescribed me this VASTAREL MR TAB 35mg. can this medicine prescribed to me will not complicate tyo my allergies? oblong white watson 349 ## THIS IS A NARCOTIC!!! THIS IS NOT VISTARIL! And taking it as such would be VERY DANGEROUS! THIS IS A NARCOTIC!!! This tablet contains Acetaminophen 500mgs and Hydrocodone 5mgs, this is a generic for Vicodin! This is a very potent narcotic analgesic. This is used to treat moderate to severe chronic pain. It can cause many side effects and has high addictive potential. So this IS NOT VISTARIL and is in now way relate to it and acts in the body in a completely different way!!! ## LOL! Hope I made the warning clear enough! ;-) I have also removed the incorrect response to avoid any confusion in the future from others who may read this post. They were correct on what Vistaril can be used for, but this is not even close to being the same type of medication.
