I was taking vistaril and failed a drug test for benzo. I was just wondering if it can show up as benzo? I need proof for court and dont know what to do. ## Yes, vistaril has some similarities with benzos. Vistaril however is prescribed for itchiness, sleep as well as mild anxiety. Although they are two separate drugs, both benzos and vistaril share a very common chemical structure which may cause a drug test to read vistaril as a benzo. Hope this helps good luck. ## Will you fail a drug test for benzos talking visteril ## I took a drug test last week and it was positive for benzo, I got totally freaked out. The lady who did my drug test told me to go to my pharmacy and get my prescription list and told me that visteril does show up as a benzo in drug test. Took a test today and still w...

Has anyone been to Vista Pharmacy's website? Has anyone been mailed fake pills when you were tricked into sending money for? Please tell me what you did. They're lying to many people that trusted them enough to send money. Vistoril is a decongestant they're prescribing for anxiety. Like a Benadryl. ## Nearly all of these web-based pharmacies are fake. Be careful especially when they ask for Bitcoins or Western Union only. ## You should never order from a pharmacy that does not require a prescription from an actual doctor, and isn't licensed. I haven't looked at that particular website, I just wanted to share some tips on what to look for, before handing over any of your hard earned cash. As to Vistaril, many medications are approved for treating more than one medical...

My mental health nurse practitioner prescribed me 30mg twice a day of buspars, vistaril 25mg 3 times a day and I go to a suboxone clinic 2 strips a day I need to know if it's deadly or not the nurse knows I take the suboxone I'm just worried ?!?!? ## Hello, Kyman! How are you? The only possible interaction that I've found is due to the fact that both the Vistaril and the Suboxone can increase sedation, so you do need to be aware of that and keep an eye out for any danger signs, such as extreme sedation, severe dizziness and shallow breathing. Suboxone is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi im trying to quit ...

In such cases, this antihistamine is used for its sedative like effects and it should start working within 15 to 20 minutes of taking it. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. If it isn't working for you, you should consult your doctor as you may need to try a different medication. How safe are the following drugs if expired, and is their general efficacy compromised as well? Vistaril Xanax Flexiril Excedrin Migraine Tylenol with Codeine Ear drops ## Hello, Brad! How are you? In tablet form, none of the medications you've listed become dangerous, once expired, but yes, they do start to lose efficacy and you should dispose of them. The expired liquid ear drops, however, can go bad and could cause problems, if you used them, as listed by the FDA. Liquids are nowhere near as stable as other medication forms. Both Xanax and Codeine carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Which medications can definitely not be used after the expiry date? Thank yo...

I was just curious if this drug is considered in the Buprenorphine or in that category? ## No! Vistaril contains the active ingredient Hydroxyzine. It is an antihistamine, used to treat various conditions such as allergic reactions, nervous disorders and insomnia. ## I have several bottles of vistaril. I only take them occasionally for itching and when my migraine medicine alone is not effective. They were originally prescribed to take “the edge off” and I will occasionally take one for this purpose. I do take Cymbalt 90 mg daily. Should I take vistaril daily also. I drive all day with my occupation. Are they effective for insomnia

I think it is a vistaril 50 mg pill. ## This tablet is manufactured by Glenmark Generics and they list it as containing 50mgs of Hydroxyzine, which is a generic for Vistaril. I take 1 and a half 2mg Lorazepam 3 times a day. What would be close to that? Vistaril 50 mg? ## Hello, Ellen! How are you? Vistaril is not a benzodiazepine, so it doesn't work the same, though it does have sedative like effects, so it can be used to treat anxiety, panic disorders and insomnia. On that note, it will likely make you more tired than the Lorazepam did, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience dizziness and dry mouth. What has your doctor recommended?

I take vistaril as needed between my imatrex for chronic migraines. I have now broken my wrist and have to wait to see a ortho surg. To get it set and have been given Norco for the pain. The pain and lack of sleep is triggering my migraines. Can I take imatRex and/or vistaril with the norco? ## Hello, Crissy! How are you? The main concern here is the Norco with the Vistaril, since they can both increase sedation and, if you aren't used to it, it could be too much for you. Thus, you shouldn't mix those, unless your doctor approves. However, I did not find any problems taking the Imitrex with the Norco, so that should be fine, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA classifies Norco as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, s...

Is there a over the counter medicine for vistaril ## Hello, BJ! How are you? No, the closest you could get would most likely be Benadryl, which contains the active ingredient Diphenhydramine. It's an excellent antihistamine and usually the first choice used in most ERs to treat allergic reactions, but it doesn't have the same potent sedating effects that Vistaril does. If you need to switch, please check the safety of doing so with your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I am allergic to diphenhydromene. would this be suffice?
