I take opioid pain medications which are Opana ER and Oxycodone/APAP which is prescribed by a pain management doctor. When he ran a urine drug screen it showed that I had Fentanyl in my system but it did not show Opana ER in my system. I have never in my life been prescribed or used Fentynal so there is no possible way that this drug screen is accurate. I didn't take my Opana ER the day of my drug screen / my pain management doctor appointment but I took it the night before at 10:00 pm and my doctor appointment was at 10:15 am; but it wasn't until around 11:30 am when I urinated into the cup. I have been having hip joint pain for many years. After I started taking Viberzi 100 mg twice a day within a couple of days my hip pain increased from a bearable 5 on the 0-10 pain scale to a 9 which would wake me up in the middle of the night and my normal dose of my narcotic pain medications would not touch it so I had to take a whole day worth of pain medications just to bring it down to like 6/7. I take Opana ER 20 mg and Percocet 10/325 (3 tablets a day). I normally take 1 Opana ER an hour before bed and one when I get up in the morning and all three Percocet around 2:00 pm. Before taking Viberzi that was enough to control my hip pain and other pain to a certain extent but my pain wasn't under enough control. So my doctor increased the Opana ER to 30 mg. I take Hydrocodone and am now prescribed Viberzi. I am curious if they increase each others' effects or cancel them out? ## Hello, Jess 1! How are you? Actually, they increase the efficacy of each other. Thus, your doctor should be monitoring you regularly and they should have taken your dosage under careful consideration to avoid any potential problems. The FDA lists the most common side effects of Viberzi as possibly including nausea, constipation, and abdominal pain. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been on 100mg of viberzi twice daily for about one month for IBS-D. I finally got to see a pain management person about pain subsequent to an on the job injury from 2011 being covered under workers comp. I take 0.5mg Xanax at night to help me sleep, as well as metoprolol for tachycardia, synthroid, estradiol, and topamax for migraine prophylaxis. I've been drug tested many times in the past on all these meds (except Viberzi) with no problem. Today the pain mngmt MD tells me I'm positive for tricyclic antidepressants which I do not take. He didn't discuss this with me further. I can't find any info about false positives with this drug. Any help is appreciated!
